Abstract

The main challenge in higher education is creating a learning environment that provides students with cognitive abilities to conduct analysis, synthesis and draw conclusions on topics. Learning environment can be changed from focusing on the teacher to a combination of learner, knowledge and assessment-centered, in order to create student learning collaboration that encourages the realization of competent communities according to the aims of their majors. This study focuses on the preparation of user requirements for E-learning in English by using Kano Method as a collaborative learning tool. This study aims to produce user requirements which are Attractive, Must-be, One-dimensional, Indifferent, Reverse, and Questionable. The research methodology used is the Waterfall model. The Waterfall Model or often also called the Linear Sequential Model proposes an approach to the development of systematic and sequential software that starts at the level and progress of the system in all analysis, design, code, testing and maintenance. The results shows that the priority of English e-learning application features are: polling, logins, language lab schedules, forums, search engines, links, bright colors, online quizzes, chatting, information on courses, online training, means of communication, information values, module downloads, and accessibility.
