EDUKASI TEKNOLOGI BACKEND: PENGENALAN GOLANG DAN KONSEP API BAGI MAHASISWA TINGKAT DASAR

Abstract

Backend development is a crucial component in the modern application ecosystem, yet beginner students often face difficulties in understanding it due to its abstract nature. This community service activity aims to provide structured education regarding backend technology with a focus on introducing the Golang programming language and Application Programming Interface (API) concepts. The implementation method was conducted online through Google Meet, attended by 17 D3 and D4 Information Technology students from Universitas Logistik dan Bisnis Internasional (ULBI). The activity stages included filling out an initial questionnaire, material presentation, practical demonstration, discussion sessions, and a final evaluation questionnaire. Initial questionnaire results showed that 81.8% of participants only knew the name of Golang without ever trying it, and 72.7% felt confused about where to start learning. After the educational implementation, there was a significant increase in understanding, where 77.8% of students understood the function of APIs and the role of Golang in backend architecture. Additionally, 66.7% of respondents rated the material presented as easy to understand. Overall, this program successfully equipped students with a strong technical foundation to explore backend development independently.
