Abstract

This study aims to provide a good Quality of Service experience for all internet clients in a network, especially for Rw Net in Pulau Kelapa Village, Jakarta by dividing the bandwidth evenly to each client with the Peer Connection Queue (PCQ) method using a Queue Tree. The background of this research is because there is often an uneven distribution of bandwidth for each client on a network, which causes some clients to surf the internet quickly and some clients to access the internet more slowly than other clients. By utilizing the Peer Connection Queue (PCQ) method using a Queue Tree, therefore each client using the internet gets an even bandwidth allocation. Experiment using Mikrotik RouterBoard with several computers that are wired (wired) and several devices that use a wireless network (wireless). The results of the research division that bandwidth with PCQ with Queue Tree produces a better and more even connection than without using PCQ because by utilizing PCQ all clients connected in the network get an even bandwidth allocation between one client and another client, as a result the client feels fair. Which proves that the Quality of Service provided by network service providers is very satisfying to their clients.
