The scheduling system for medical personnel, particularly doctors, is a crucial element in maintaining the quality of healthcare services at clinics. However, many clinics in Indonesia still use manual scheduling methods, which result in irregular schedules, long patient waiting times, and uneven workloads. This study proposes the implementation of the First In First Out (FIFO) algorithm in the reservation and scheduling system for doctors' shifts at Muhammadiyah Sukajadi Primary Clinic as a simple yet effective solution to address these issues. The FIFO algorithm enables fair and consistent scheduling of doctors' shifts based on the order of arrival or requests, thereby improving service efficiency without requiring complex digital infrastructure. This study aims to analyze the implementation of FIFO in the patient reservation system, evaluate its impact on schedule regularity and queue management, and compare its performance with the conventional system previously used. The study was conducted on a limited scale at the clinic using an empirical and systematic approach. The research findings are expected to provide practical contributions to the development of a scheduling system that is easy to implement and relevant for small to medium-sized clinics.
