ANALISIS VALUE CHAIN DAN BIAYA TRANSAKSI KOMODITAS UBI KAYU DI KECAMATAN PANUMBANGAN KABUPATEN CIAMIS
Abstract
Processing cassava into tapioca flour and chips adds value to cassava. In the process of creating this added value involves several actors such as: farmers, dealers, and craftsmen. Activities undertaken in the value-added process will form an interconnected chain known as the value chain. Each involved actor also engages in activities to achieve a transaction that requires a fee charge called transaction fee. The results showed that there are 4 types of value chain of cassava commodity. The chain has a linkage between one actor with another. Added value for the largest farmers is on the chain 1 of the Farmers - Bandar - Tapioca Flour Maker with a value of 17.79%. The added value of airports in each value chain is the smallest added value with a value of 0.63% - 2.71%, a substantial added value of 3.98% is obtained by reducing transportation costs. Craftsmen both tapioca flour and chips are the biggest value added players that is 78.23% - 91.80%. Transaction fee is the cost to do the check and balance process so that the next party does not have chance to harming the previous party and the cost to maintain the partnership relationship. The biggest transaction cost is sacrificed by tapioca starch producers which is Rp.70.000, - per month. The cost of the smallest transaction is sacrificed by the dealer that is Rp.40.000, - per month. While farmers almost did not sacrifice the existence of transaction costs.
