Peer Review Process

Jurnal Logistik Bisnis (p-ISSN: 2086-8561) enforces a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review policy. In this process, both the reviewers' and authors' identities are kept anonymous throughout the review to ensure objective, unbiased, and high-quality academic evaluations.

Review Workflow Steps

  1. Initial Desk Review (Screening):
    Upon submission, the Managing Editor conducts an initial evaluation to check for:
    • Scope alignment with Jurnal Logistik Bisnis.
    • Compliance with the official article template.
    • Similarity index check via Turnitin/iThenticate (maximum allowed threshold is 20%).
    Manuscripts failing to meet basic requirements or exceeding the plagiarism limit will be rejected immediately (*Desk Reject*) or sent back for preliminary formatting.
  2. Anonymization & Assignment:
    Manuscripts that pass desk review are anonymized (removal of author names, affiliations, and explicit self-citations) and assigned to at least two independent peer reviewers with relevant subject matter expertise.
  3. Peer Review Evaluation:
    Reviewers evaluate the manuscript within 4 to 8 weeks based on:
    • Originality and scientific contribution to logistics/supply chain management.
    • Methodological rigor, mathematical accuracy, and data validity.
    • Clarity of discussion, logical structure, and practical/managerial implications.
    • Quality and recency of references (APA 7th style).
  4. Editorial Decision:
    Based on the reviewers' reports, the Editor-in-Chief / Managing Editor makes one of the following final decisions:
    • Accept Submission: The manuscript is accepted as is for publication.
    • Revisions Required (Minor): The author must address minor feedback within 1–2 weeks.
    • Resubmit for Review (Major): Substantial structural or methodological revisions are needed, followed by a second round of review.
    • Decline Submission: The manuscript is rejected due to critical technical or conceptual flaws.
  5. Revision & Final Production:
    Authors must submit their revised manuscript along with a point-by-point Response to Reviewers document. Once approved by the editor, the paper proceeds to copyediting, layout formatting, DOI registration, and publication.
