EVALUASI TARIF TRUCKING PT RAHAYU PERDANA TRANS SURABAYA DENGAN METODE PIECES DAN BIAYA OPERASIONAL KENDARAAN (BOK)

Abstract

Determining the right trucking rates needed to support the operations of freight forwarding company. Rates applied shall be optimal, so that the company can obtain benefit which also still compete with competitors. PT Rahayu Prime Trans Surabaya branch is a freight forwarding company that has a fleet of 15 trucks. In dealing with all of its activities the company established a trucking division, and the division is responsible for all activities at the trucking company. Starting from operations, permitting up to the issue of costs. There are 21 routes in Surabaya, which is served by the company. Tariff on the route is still based on personal tally of managing director in the company. After doing some research, there are several routes with the same trucking rates at different distances.

PIECES method used to find the major problems and analyze the importance of the problem. While the method used for calculating eligibility BOK rate based on the costs incurred in the operation of trucking.

PIECES consist of Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency and Service. Analysis on trucking by PIECES obtained important issues to be investigated is the trucking rates applied by the company. For the calculation of the exact trucking rates, BOK method is used. After performing the calculation method obtained BOK base rate compared with the rate determined by the company. Based on the calculation of the rates currently applied by the company, higher than the results of a calculation using the BOK's rate. The comparison of the results concluded that the tariffs currently applied the company is feasible.
